Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End released the preview images and video of episode 17, the first installment of the upcoming second cour. The episode is titled “Take Care,” which is set to release on Friday, January 5 and the website describes it as follows:
Sein gets a hint about where his best friend is, but it is headed on a different road than the one Frieren and her party is going for. A blizzard arrives in the village where they are staying, forcing the four to be stranded for a month, but they enjoy their days in their ways. One day, Fern and Stark get into a fight, and Frieren turns to Sein…
Keiichiro Saito (Bocchi the Rock!) is directing the series at studio Madhouse (A Place Further Than The Universe) with Tomohiro Suzuki (One Punch Man) as the scriptwriter, Evan Call (Violet Evergarden) as the music composer, and Reiko Nagasawa (takt op. Destiny) as the character designer. The cast includes Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya Forger from Spy x Family)as the titular character Frieren, Kana Ichinose (Suletta Mercury from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury) as Fern, Chiaki Kobayashi (Gabimaru from Hell’s Paradise) as Stark, and Yuichi Nakamura (Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen).

After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude.
