The upcoming Urusei Yatsura reboot will be available to stream on HIDIVE and Bilibili. The announcement was made during the Aniplex Online Fest 2022, which was held on September 24, 2022. The first cour of the series will premiere on October 13, 2022.
Hideya Takahashi, Yasuhiro Kimura, Takahiro Kamei are directing the anime at studio David Production. The cast of the series includes:

- Saori Hayami as Oyuki
- Kana Hanazawa as Ran
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Rei

Urusei Yatsura Reveals More Cast and New Character Visuals
Urusei Yatsura is a Japanese romantic manga series that was written by Rumiko Takahashi, who is also famous for creating InuYasha and Ranma 1/2. Shogakukan started serializing it in 1978 and ended in1987, with a total of 34 volumes. The manga currently has over 35 million copies in circulation. The series had an anime adaptation from 1981 to 1986, which had a total of 195 episodes. Mamoru Oshii and Kazuo Yamazaki both directed it at studios Kitty, Films, Pierot, and Deen. It also had a total of 13 OVAs and 6 anime films. Viz Media is publishing the Urusei Yatsura manga series in English, and it currently has 15 volumes available. The plot of the series is described as:
In a high-stakes game of tag, Ataru must touch Lum’s horns in ten days—or aliens will take over the earth! The fact that Lum can fly doesn’t make Ataru’s job any easier.
