HYTE Pulls Plug on Nijisanji Projects Following Selen Tatsuki Termination Fiasco

HYTE, a manufacturer of cutting-edge PC components and peripherals, has announced that it is terminating its current projects with VTuber agency Nijisanji after the recent fallout of the termination of Selen Tatsuki’s contract, which resulted in massive backlash among its fans.

According to an official statement from HYTE’s official X (Twitter) account, the termination of current projects with Nijisanji also includes the recently released collaboration for Y60 case bundles featuring Nijisanji English talents Enna Alouette, Elira Pendora, and Rosemi Lovelock.

With everything surrounding NUISANJI in the past year alone, we at HYTE want to stand alongside the many VTuber fans who have ceased support for the organization. We thank you for your continued support on our collaborations, and we wish the Livers and their communities all the best.

Excerpt from HYTE’s statement on terminating projects with Nijisanji

The NIJISANJI EN Y60 case bundles were sold separately and previously available for pre-order from HYTE within the United States and Canada for a starting MSRP of $299.99. HYTE mentioned back then that the global availability of the NIJISANJI EN Y60 case bundles was expected at the end of this year’s first quarter.

This came as a result of Nijisanji recently terminating one of its top talents, Selen Tatsuki, over an alleged breach of several agency policies, including non-compliance with rights confirmation and authorization flows, as well as unauthorized usage of works and assets belonging to others affiliated with ANYCOLOR. The conflict occurred when the company was already under pressure from English-speaking fans due to a recent series of talent graduations from the EN branch that called into question the management of the branch, recently of Kyo Kaneko and Pomu Rainpuff.
