The previously announced Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi anime will premiere in 2024, as announced with the main cast information. Fairouz Ai will be voicing Sumireko Ogawa while Daiki Yamashita is Ren Adashino.
Fairouz Ai is known for her roles as Manatsu Natsuumi/Cure Summer in Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure, Emily Orange in Kandagawa Jet Girls, Eripiyo in If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die, Jolyne Cujoh in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, and Power in Chainsaw Man. Her other roles include Delta in The Eminence in the Shadow, Sophia in Bibliophile Princess, Arianne Glenys Lalatoya in Skeleton Knight in Another World, and Cecily in KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!.
Meanwhile, Daiki Yamashita is known for his roles as Hagane Tomitsuka in The Irregular at Magic High School, Oikawa in Charlotte, Danji Enrei in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, Izuku Midoriya in My Hero Academia, Kan in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, and Narancia Ghirga in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. His other roles include Shu Iura in Horimiya, young Zeke Jaeger in Attack on Titan: The Final Season, Haruto Keats in 86: Eighty Six, Hokuro in Ranking of Kings, Ryunosuke Yuki in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, and Yamada Asaemon Senta in Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku.
The official teaser trailer for the anime describes it as “a story of a small friendship, and a parting of ways throughout a number of strange occurrences. A modern-day bizarre romanesque with a piercing combination of “weirdness,” “girls,” and “sexuality.”
Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi (Mysteries, Maidens and Mysterious Disappearances) is a manga series written and illustrated by Nujima. Shogakukan’s Magazine Yawaraka Spirits has been serializing the manga since October 2019.
