Mysterious Disappearances Anime Announces Additional Cast

The upcoming Mysterious Disappearances anime announced two additional cast members at the Anime Japan 2024 on Sunday. Naomi Ozora and Masako Nozawa are joining the cast as Jormun Himeuo and Kisaragi Station’s attendant, respectively. The series will premiere on April 10.

Zero-G is animating the series under the direction of Tomomi Mochizuki, who will also write the anime’s script. Takuya Tani is designing the characters. The opening theme song “Hazard Symbol” is performed by Yuyu, while the ending theme song “Shuku Somete Shinzo” is performed by Nonoka Obuchi. The cast of the anime includes:

  • Fairouz Ai as Sumireko Ogawa
  • Daiki Yamashita as Ren Adashino
  • Eri Yukimura as Oto Adashino
  • Yui Horie as Manami Uname
  • Rie Takahashi as Shizuku
  • Saya Aizawa as Nodoka Ametsuchi
  • Yuya Uchida as John Doe

The Mysterious Disappearances anime is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Nujima. It has been serialized on Shogakukan’s Yawaraka Spirits website since October 2019. Seven Seas Entertainment has announced that it has licensed the manga in English, set for release in May 2024. The plot is described as:
Ogawa Sumireko is a busty bookstore clerk who wants to become a novelist after some writing success in her youth. When strange occurrences start cropping up around the city, she teams up with her flirtatious co-worker Adashino Ren to look into them. But Ren is hiding a secret of his own! With their combined skills of occult knowledge, what will they discover as they investigate?
