Kaiju No. 8 Game Reveals Gameplay and Playable Characters in New Trailer, Key Visual

Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME revealed the first main trailer, revealing the gameplay and the main playable characters, along with a new key visual. The game is developed by Akatasuki Games. It will be available in 2025 on mobile through Google Play and Apple’s App Store, as well as on PC through Steam.

The game was announced after Episode 10 of the anime with a teaser trailer and first visual. You can watch the new trailer below.

Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME – New Trailer Featuring Gameplay & Playable Characters

The new announcement was made at a special program for the TV anime and upcoming game, and attending cast members were Masaya Fukunishi (Kafka Hibino/Kaiju No. 8), Wataru Kato (Reno Ichikawa), Asami Seto (Mina Ashiro), and Kengo Kawanishi (Soshiro Hoshina). You can see the new key visual below.

The main voice cast for Kaiju No. 8 includes:

We had the opportunity to talk with Masaya Fukunishi at last year’s Anime Expo, where he shared his experience voicing Kafka.

Kaiju No. 8 manga by Naoya Matsumoto began serialization in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ and has since been collected into 15 volumes as of this March. Viz Media licensed it in English.

Season 1 of the TV anime adaptation by Production I.G ran for 12 episodes from April to June 2024. It was be shown in theaters along with the Hoshina’s Day Off bonus episode from March 28, 2025. Season 2 TV anime is also currently in production and set to premiere this July.
