A new trailer for the Kaiju No. 8 compilation movie was revealed during the series’ stage at Jump Festa ’25. The movie will feature new content, in the form of Hoshina’s Day Off special episode. The trailer revealed that One Republic is returning to the franchise with a new ending theme song, titled “Invincible”:

The movie premieres on March 28 in Japan and it will have an international release, although it was not revealed when. Check out the key visual for the movie below:
Kaiju No. 8 Anime
Shigeyuki Miya & Tomomi Kamiya directed the first season while Ichiro Okouchi handled the script and series composition. Tetsuya Nishio worked as the character designer and chief animation director. Mahiro Maeda handled the kaiju designs and Yuta Bandoh composed the music.
The first season aired for 12 episodes from April to June and ranked second in the “Best Animation”, “Best Sci-Fi”, and “Best Soundtrack” categories for the Spring 2024 season.
Crunchyroll describes the plot of the series as:
In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.
The anime adapts a manga by Naoya Matsumoto.
