Arcane, the animated television series set in the the popular MOBA game League of Legends universe, has received a new trailer! It was first announced at the League of Legends 10th Anniversary celebration, and is being developed and produced by Riot with animation by Fortiche Productions. Its release date was originally in 2020, but it was delayed due to the still ongoing pandemic. Now, Netflix has released a new trailer for Arcane, featuring more of the League of Legends characters in action.
Set in the past, it retells the origin stories of several characters from Piltover and Zaun. Namely, we’ll be seeing Vi and Jinx, voiced in Japanese by Kobayashi Yu and Sumire Uesaka, respectively. The English dub cast we know so far includes:
- Hailee Steinfeld as Vi
- Ella Purnell as Jinx
- Kevin Alejandro as Jayce
- Jason Spisak as Silco
- Katie Leung as Caitlyn
- Toks Olagundoye as Mel
- J.B Blanc as Vander
- Harry Lloyd as Viktor
The studio in charge of Arcane, besides the trailer, they’ve also done cinematics for League of Legends before. For example, they did GET JINXED (Jinx), POP/STARS (Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, Kai’Sa). They also did RISE for Worlds 2018 and WARRIORS for Worlds 2014.
Arcane Release date
The animated series will premiere in 3 Acts. Episodes 1 to 3 will release on November 6, focusing on the beginning of the two sisters. Episodes 4-6 will release one week later on November 13, and episodes 7-9 will release on November 20. You can also check the exact timings on the image below:
