MASHLE -THE STAGE- revealed that it will have a sequel with a new play that is planned for 2024. The first MASHLE play ran from July 4 to July 17 of this year. News about the sequel was announced during Jump Festa ’24. Ryotaro Akazawa and Takeshi James Yamada, who played Mash and Dot, attended.
The stage was first announced on the first day of Jump Festa 2024 during the MASHLE: Magic and Muscles special stage where they revealed a short trailer of the stage play adaptation. The trailer shows a recap of the performance from the last MASHLE -THE STAGE- with the announcement of the current stage’s performance.
MASHLE -THE STAGE- is the stage play adaptation of the MASHLE: Magic and Muscles manga series. The show ran in Tokyo National Forum Hall C and AiiA 2.5 Theater Kobe. It covered the Easton Enrollment and the Magia Lupus arcs. The stage play adaptation was directed by Imagine Ito (Umebou/Gekibana) and Fumiya Matsuzaki. who was the general director. The script was written by Shinjiro Kameda the lyrics were written by Yuji Mitsuya. Shingo I (OVERCOME MUSIC) composed the music. Umebo’s Hirotaka Noda and Hideya Tawada and Erinacchi created the choreography for the play, which was produced by Nelke Planning.
MASHLE: Magic and Muscles is a manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Komoto. It was serialized in the Weekly Shounen Jump from January 2020 to July 2023 and has inspired an anime series with the same name. The first season of the anime series was directed by Tomoya Tanaka at studio A-1 Pictures. The first season aired in the Spring 2023 anime season, while the second is planned for this January. The new season also revealed a trailer during the Jump Festa ’24.
