Mushoku Tensei released Episode 10 today, and we got to see the trio begin the real adventurer life. They got to the town of Rikarisu and registered at a guild. Although we also saw a disturbing side of Ruijerd near the end. On the way to the town, Eris showed that she can handle herself and didn’t need any help to defeat a bunch of monsters. Having gotten there though, they realized that Ruijerd is called “Dead End” there and that he can’t enter the town. Rudy thought of dying his hair blue with some random thing he found, and they snuck him in as a Migurd, and they also got interesting new outfits.
Making a big deal of their entrance and claiming Ruijerd was really “Dead End”, they managed to make everyone think it’s a joke, and even named that party Dead End. As Rudy was admiring the receptionist, an unlucky adventurer tried talking to Eris and ended up ruining her mantle (which Rudy bought her). He seemed to want to help them, but he ended up getting beaten instead. Rudy calmed the situation and explained that they’re a three-member party. Still, they couldn’t take any missions above rank E since they had to start from rank F. As he was pondering on what to do, the Man-God came to him again in his dream and said to take the lost cat mission they’d seen before. The God is obviously not trustworthy, although Rudy did listen to him.
Ruijerd used his third eye to find it, but it wasn’t exactly the cat they expected. It was all a plot from different adventurers, who were kidnapping pets and then pretending to rescue them. It seemed like it’d be over easily, but then one of the villains hit Rudy. Ruijerd takes the whole children thing really seriously, and he decapitated the guy and “did the right thing”. Rudy tried to explain why it wasn’t necessary, but it got even more tense and Eris started hitting him. Thankfully, it seems like he’ll be able to hold back in the future. Although it might be hard for him to not go off on the people he sees as evil.
