My Hero Academia 6 revealed a new key visual that features “dark Deku” and the vestiges of One For All along with a new trailer, earlier today. The latest episode of the second cour just finished airing in Japan.
Studio BONES returned to animate the highly popular sequel, which covered the Paranormal Liberation War arc in the first cour. Masahiro Mukai is directing, with Yosuke Kuroda on the series composition. Hitomi Odashima and Yoshiko Umakoshi are in charge of character designs. The new My Hero Academia 6 trailer also revolves around Deku and features Eve’s opening theme song “Bokura no”:
My Hero Academia is a manga series by Kohei Horikoshi that has been serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump since 2014. The manga received an anime adaptation by studio BONES in 2016. Season 2 aired in 2017, followed by the third season in 2018. The fourth part of the anime series started airing in the fall of 2019 and ended in the winter of 2020. The fifth and latest season aired in 2021 and had a total of 25 episodes. The franchise also has 3 movies: Two Heroes (2018), Heroes:Rising (2019) and World Heroes’ Mission (2021). Crunchyroll is streaming the series. The plot follows a society of heroes.
