A new manga by the author of “Fullmetal Alchemist“, Hiromu Arakawa will begin soon in the Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine! July 12, 2021, marks the 20th anniversary of the “Fullmetal Alchemist” manga and, apart from the manga, the magazine also mentioned more commemorations. One of them will be a rerun of art exhibition for the franchise in winter 2021, and spring 2022.

What is Fullmetal Alchemist
“Fullmetal Alchemist” is a manga by Hiromu Arakawa. Square Enix publisher’s Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine was publishing the manga from July 2001 up until June 2010. The manga had 27 volumes in total and sold over 80 million copies globally. “Fullmetal Alchemist” also received 2 anime adaptations, “Fullmetal Alchemist” in 2003 and “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood” in 2009.

Edward Elric, a brilliant young alchemist, has lost quite a bit in his twelve years of life: when he and his brother Alphonse tried to revive their mother through the forbidden act of human transmutation, Edward lost his brother as well as two members of her body. However, he managed to save the soul of his brother by embedding her in armor. A year later, Edward has become a state alchemist, and has embarked on a journey in the company of his younger brother to obtain a Philosopher’s Stone that is said to expand an alchemist’s ability and open the possibility of recovering the body of his brother and his lost limbs.
