One Piece: Ace Gets Illustration Drawn by His Japanese Voice Actor Toshio Furukawa

Toshio Furukawa, the Japanese voice actor known for voicing Ace in ONE PIECE, shared his own illustration of the character. Furukawa voiced the character from his first appearance in ONE PIECE Episode 99 (2001). We got to interview the veteran voice actor at last year’s NYC, and he spoke to us about his career, the industry, and his favorite characters.

Although he told us that Piccolo (from Dragon Ball) was his favorite, he also shared that ONE PIECE was one of his favorite works and that he didn’t want to go to the recording studio ahead of the episode where Ace died. You can see his illustration of the character below.

ONE PIECE: Ace Gets Illustration by His Japanese Voice Actor Toshio Furukawa

ONE PIECE manga by Eiichiro Oda is still going strong, with the latest chapter revealing a big teaser for the upcoming final war. The anime previously announced an April 6, 2025 return with a new key visual and trailer at last year’s Jump Festa, while the special edited version of the Fish-Man Island Saga is currently taking its place.

There is also the upcoming Season 2 of the live-action, which just wrapped filming, as well as the upcoming remake by WIT Studio.
