One Piece – Live Action Series Bloopers

The One Piece bloopers joined trailers of the live-action adaptations of Yu Yu Hakusho, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and an anime teaser of Terminator for Geeked Week. While no big news came out regarding the previously announced One Piece Season 2, it was revealed in September that the scripts were already prepared. With the SAG-AFTRA strikes now over, it is expected that filming will resume quickly ahead of the dreaded South African winter. Jamie Lee Curtis expressed that she wants to join the season 2 cast, likely as Dr. Kureha. A joke Chopper drawing by One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda is the best idea that fans have regarding Chopper’s upcoming depiction.

Netflix’s One Piece debuted on August 31, 2023, to critical acclaim, hailed as one of the best live-action adaptations of a manga series. In a One Piece review by Anime Corner’s Marko, his overall feeling was: “The differences from the source material were welcome, and I thoroughly enjoyed all the episodes. The series followed the original story with some cool variations to fit the medium, and it really felt like a quality adaptation all the way.

Netflix describes the series:
With his straw hat and ragtag crew, young pirate Monkey D. Luffy goes on an epic voyage for treasure in this live-action adaptation of the popular manga.
