Episode 1 of ‘Peach Boy Riverside‘, one of the much-awaited anime series this Summer, is finally out! In my opinion, the character designs are so great. That said, the one who really caught my attention was Frau. She is a “harefolk” with a body of a rabbit but can stand and talk like a human. For me, its character design is very cute.
The second one who caught my attention was Sally, one of the main characters of the show. She has short hair, a huge chest, a beautiful face, and a nice body. If you like short-haired anime girls, then Sally can be your waifu this season for sure! She looks innocent but also a badass when fighting. The most important trait of her is that she has a kind her. It makes her not discriminate against “harefolks”, unlike other people.
Brutal Parts
As I said above, Sally doesn’t discriminate against the “harefolks”. In the anime, most people discriminate against them because of their appearance and inhuman strength. Well, I think they are like that because they are just scared of them. Still, that treatment brutally attacks the mental state of “harefolks” according to my opinion.
In ‘Peach Boy Riverside’ episode 1, there’s a scene where Frau saved the villagers from an ogre attack. Unfortunately, the villagers still cast her away because they saw how strong she is. Nevertheless, Frau didn’t let it sway her emotions, instead, she thanked the village chief for letting her eat carrots.
After all of this discrimination, Sally still let Frau join her travels. She also treats her like a friend and both of them want to protect each other.
The next thing we have here is an ogre attack on a walled city. There are two ogres this time and the first one destroyed the walls, killing the people behind them. Then, the second one easily killed the soldiers by crushing and cutting their bodies in halves. Honestly, the scene was terrifying for me since Frau almost died during the attack.
The last brutal scene here is Sally’s attack. Because of her rage, she becomes serious and a whole different power flowed in her whole body. Her eyes also changed, as well as the expression on her face. Nonetheless, she is still gorgeous with that look. The episode ended on this badass scene.
It seems that the anime looks promising. If you want to know more about Sally’s powers and the mystery behind the ogres, episode 2 will air on July 8, 2021. You can watch the anime on Crunchyroll.
