Aniplex has announced Virgin Punk, an original anime movie series by Yasuomi Umetsu and SHAFT. The first movie, Clockwork Girl, is set to premiere at the Cine Libre Ikebukuro and Theater Umeda Osaka in Japan in early summer 2025. A trailer and teaser visual of the film were revealed during the announcement.
The teaser visual features the main character, Ubu, who has decided to live as a bounty hunter. The story will revolve around her sorrows, desires, and the chaos surrounding her.

Yasuomi Umetsu is a Japanese animator, director, writer, and storyboard artist. He is known as creator and director of Kite, MEZZO FORTE, and Wizard Barristers. Virgin Punk marks his first directororial work in 10 years.
Studio SHAFT is a Japanese animation studio famous for original works such as Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and adaptations such as Monogatari. The studio is currently working on the Monogatari: Off & Monster Season.
Umetsu and SHAFT collaborated in the past on titles such as Pretty Boy Detective Club, And Yet the Town Moves, the recent The Quintessential Quintuplets~ special, and more.
