The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 11 preview video was released on the official KADOKAWAAnime Youtube channel on Monday—preview images were also released on the official site. With Filo finally back and Raphtalia becoming the Katana Hero, it’s time for the Kyo manhunt to kick off!

Looks like we’ll be receiving yet another reunion this episode as Glass and Kizuna finally reunite! But it turns out that Kizuna can’t simply turn a blind eye to Glass’ actions as she finds out about her invasion of Naofumi’s world, with L’Arc and Therese by her side. Luckily, the three will take a vow to not fight Naofumi, Raphtalia, Filo, and Rishia so long as Kyo is still causing mayhem. Fans will also be introduced to another new character this week that will look to stop Naofumi and everyone else in their tracks as they pursue Kyo. For a quick hint, we also saw this character in the new key visual that was revealed back in May.
Yang Jeong-hui and Ji Yang-ho will be making their seasonal directing debuts this week. Masahiro Suwa (episodes 3, 7-10) and Woo Jin-Woo (episode 2) will work as chief animation directors. Ippei Ichii (episode 7, director and storyboard) will storyboard episode 11. And Keigo Koyanagi (episodes 1-10) will remain the scriptwriter.
After placing 10th in our latest weekly poll, The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 has now sat comfortably in the top-10 of our weekly polls in eight of the 10 weeks of the Spring 2022 season. Now that season 2 has turned around for the better since episode 5, The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 is showing out to be one of the better series this season. With just three episodes left, it’ll be interesting to see how it will all wrap up.
