Voice actress Sumire Uesaka, the voice actress behind Lum of the upcoming Urusei Yatsura reboot anime, has appeared in Lum cosplay in the newest edition of the Weekly Shonen Sunday. The Urusei Yatsura reboot is animated by David Production and is set to air on October 13. Ut will be composed of 46 episodes, split into four cours.

Sumire Uesaka is currently signed with agency Voice Kit as a voice actor, while her music career is represented by King Record and JPU Records. She has voiced multiple characters in anime, including Sanae Dekomori in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, Eru Miru in Plastic Memories, Shalltear Bloodfallen in Overlord, and Karin Nanase in In/Spectre, among others.
Her most recent anime roles include Hayase Nagatoro in Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro, Valkyrie in Takt Op. Destiny, Kyoko Jingu in The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!, and Sho Kochikashi in Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki 4 Satsume.
Urusei Yatsura is based on the manga by Rumiko Takahashi, and was serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday. Prior to the upcoming reboot, it received an anime adaptation from Studio Pierrot (episodes 1-106) and Studio Deen (107-195), which aired from October 1981 to March 1986. It then got an anime reboot adaptation by David Production.
