Transformers Gets Animated Video Project by Studio TRIGGER

The Transformers media franchise is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and a special animated video project by studio TRIGGER is in production to commemorate the milestone. The released trailer, although pretty unclear, show the scenes of the some familiar Transformers in battle. The project is teased to be ‘coming soon,’ and you can check out the teaser trailer below.

The Transformers franchise was created by American toy company Hasbro and Japanese toy company Takara Tomy in 1984. It began with the Transformers toy line, comprising transforming mecha toys from Takara’s Diaclone and Micro Change toy lines rebranded for Western markets. It then evolved into multiple directions, spawning anime adaptations, live-action movies, video games, comics, and more media.

Studio TRIGGER is a well known Japanese studio founded in August 2011. Some of their famous anime titles include Kill la KillLittle Witch AcademiaDarling in the Franxx (co-produced with A-1 Pictures), SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon, Delicious in DungeonPanty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2 and CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS. Their upcoming anime are Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 and the new Panty & Stocking anime.
