Ya Boy Kongming anime revealed a new trailer, weeks before the April 5 premiere. Studio P.A.Works is animating the adaptation of Yuto Yotsuba and Ryo Ogawa manga.
The new “music video style” trailer features voice actor Shouya Chiba, who voices rapper KABEtaijin, as well as Eiko Tsukumi’s singing voice 96Neko. Lezel’s singing is also featured, as Nanami Kuon’s voice:
Shu Honma is directing Ya Boy Kongming anime, with Kanami Sekiguchi as character designer. Yoko Yonaiyama is overseeing series composition, while Genki Hikota is composing the music. The main cast includes:
- Ryotaru Okiayu as Zhuge Kongming
- Kaede Hondo as Eiko Tsukumi (regular voice) (96Neko as singing voice)
- Shouya Chiba as KABEtaijin
- Hibiku Yamamura as Nanami Kuon (Lezel as singing voice)
- Jun Fukushima as Owner Kobayashi
Theme songs for the anime were previously revealed:
- OP: “Ciki Ciki Bam Bam” by Queendom
- ED: “Kibun Joujou” by 96Neko
Kodansha is publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
General of the Three Kingdoms, Kongming had struggled his whole life, facing countless battles that made him into the accomplished strategist he was. So on his deathbed, he wished only to be reborn into a peaceful world…and was sent straight to modern-day party-central, Tokyo! Can even a brilliant strategist like Kongming adapt to the wild beats and even wilder party people?!
