BLUE LOCK Season 2 finale (Episode 13 & 14) synopsis

Episode 13:

With 15 minutes remaining, the match enters its final stage. As the play continues, Sae declares, “I’ll raise the game level.” Shifting into a higher gear, Sae utilizes his “counter dribble” technique, effortlessly brushing past opponents and cutting through to the goal on his own, leaving the BLUE LOCK Eleven’s defense in disarray. In the chaos, Rin analyzes Sae’s thought process, striving to devise a play that will neutralize his brother’s dominance.

Episode 14:

With less than two minutes remaining in the match, the BLUE LOCK Eleven launch their final counterattack. However, midway through, Rin suddenly steals the ball from his teammate and dashes alone toward the enemy goal. Driven by his single-minded determination to surpass Sae, Rin abandons his usual rational playstyle, opting instead for a destructive, “ugly” style of soccer that pushes his opponents to their absolute best before breaking them.

He weaves through the U-20 Japan National Team’s defense, leaving chaos in his wake. Just as he’s about to pass the last defender, Aiku, a devilish hand reaches out from the front line and stops Rin in his tracks! The most intense match in history is about to reach its conclusion!

Muneyuki Kaneshiro writes the BLUE LOCK manga, with art by Yusuke Nomura. Kodansha is publishing the manga in English. The story follows BLUE LOCK, the project to create the ultimate egoistical striker that will take Japan to a World Cup trophy.

We had the chance to interview Kazuki Ura (Isagi’s Japanese voice actor), Ryoya Arisawa (anime producer), and Megumu Tsuchiya (manga editor) at this year’s Anime Expo. We talked with them about working on the manga and anime series, the challenges they faced in creating the work loved by fans worldwide, as well as what to expect from the ongoing Season 2.

BLUE LOCK Season 2 topped the final weekly ranking after Shido’s performance, with the win breaking the 4-week streak of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War.
