Blizzard Entertainment has announced a pair of crossover events inspired by Kentaro Miura’s legendary dark fantasy manga Berserk, arriving in Diablo IV and Diablo Immortal this May. Each title will integrate characters, themes, and symbols from the manga into time-limited gameplay experiences and cosmetic offerings.
Released in June 2023, Diablo IV is the latest mainline entry in the franchise, offering an open world, seasonal content, and a return to the series’ gothic tone.
Diablo Immortal, which launched in June 2022, is Blizzard’s mobile-first and PC-accessible live-service ARPG, set between Diablo II and Diablo III.
Diablo IV x Berserk
In Diablo IV, the crossover begins on May 6. Players will encounter elite demons that drop Behelits, grotesque relics from the Berserk universe. These drops will serve as event currency, which can be exchanged at the in-game Berserk Reliquary for a variety of themed cosmetic rewards:
- Hawks Destiny Back Trophy
- Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor
- Brand of Sacrifice Marking
- Foretold Eclipse Headstone
- Od of the Berserker Emblem (granted after collecting all Reliquary items)
Several additional bundles will be available through the in-game shop. These include the Berserker Armor for Barbarians, Hawk of Light and The Struggler armor sets for Rogues, and The Skull Knight set for Necromancers. The Schnoz Pet Bundle features the Mask Rakshas Mount Trophy and Chimimoryo’s Resemblance, while the Warhorse of the Hawk Mount Bundle offers a themed Fantasia Mount and God Hand trophies.
Players can also participate in a Support-A-Streamer campaign to earn the Skull Behelit Mount Trophy via Twitch.
The Berserk Reliquary event in Diablo IV will run from May 6 at 10:00 a.m. PT to June 3 at 10:00 a.m. PT. The Berserk bundles in the in-game shop will be available from May 6 at 10:00 a.m. PT through June 5 at 12:00 p.m. PT.
Diablo Immortal x Berserk: Struggler’s Path
Diablo Immortal will launch its crossover event, titled Struggler’s Path, on May 1. At the center of the experience is a new boss encounter featuring Nosferatu Zodd. Known in Berserk as an immortal and bloodthirsty warrior, Zodd now enters Sanctuary with escalating aggression during combat.
Players equipped with the Crimson Behelit Legendary Gem can challenge an even more powerful version of the boss.
The Crimson Behelit is a dual-phase Legendary Gem that activates based on player health:
- Above 50% Health: Triggers Behelit’s Wrath, increasing damage dealt by 30% for 6 seconds (20s cooldown)
- Below 50% Health: Triggers Behelit’s Mercy, reducing damage taken by 30% for 6 seconds (60s cooldown)
- Each activation releases a scream effect that fears nearby enemies for 1.6 seconds
Another major feature is Struggler’s Bane, a mode that immerses players in the Eclipse, Berserk’s apocalyptic realm of sacrifice. Every two minutes during gameplay, players are temporarily transported to the Eclipse for a 60-second survival sequence. The area features unique visuals and a unique boss tied to the Godhand.
Cosmetic offerings during the event include:
- Broken Band’s Armament (armor inspired by Guts and the Band of the Hawk)
- Golem Familiar Skin (customizable earth-based companion)
- Berserk Weapon Cosmetics (eight class-specific skins, including the Dragon Slayer greatsword)
In addition, players will receive themed login rewards:
- 1x Struggler’s Path Weapon Skin
- Crimson Behelit Legendary Gem
- Eclipse Portal Cosmetic
- Eclipse Frame
- 10x Legendary Crests
Diablo Immortal x Berserk: Struggler’s Path will be live from May 1 to May 30.
