Sound! Euphonium The Final Movie Part 1 Unveils Theme Song by TRUE

Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1 unveiled that the theme song is titled “ToCoda” by TRUE. The theme song was revealed at the series’ 10th anniversary event, “Sound! Euphonium the Kitauji High School Concert Band 9th regular concert,” which was held today. TRUE also performed the previous theme songs of the Sound! Euphonium anime.

The movie is set to premiere on April 24 with Taichi Ogawa directing and Tatsuya Ishihara as the chief director. Jukki Hanada is writing the script and series composition, and Shoko Ikeda and Kazumi Ikeda are handling the character designs. Akito Matsuda is composing the music. A trailer was released last October.

The cast includes:

  • Tomoyo Kurosawa as Kumiko Oumae
  • Chika Anzai as Reina Kosaka
  • Ayaka Asai as Hazuki Kato
  • Moe Toyota as Sapphire Kawashima
  • Haruka Tomatsu as Mayu Kuroe
  • Takahiro Sakurai as Noboru Taki

The anime is based on a light novel series written by Ayano Takeda and illustrated by Nikki Asada. Takarajimasha published the novel, which ran from December 2013 until June 2024, with a total of 14 volumes released. There is also a 3-volume manga by Hami.

Crunchyroll is streaming all three seasons of the series, describing it as follows:
Spring in the first year of high school. Kumiko, a member of the brass band in junior high school, visits the high school brass band club with classmates Hazuki and Sapphire. There, she comes across Reina, her former classmate from junior high. Hazuki and Sapphire decide to join the club, but Kumiko can’t make up her mind. She recollects her experience with Reina at a competition in junior high school.
