NARUTO Card Game Announced by Bandai, Global Launch Planned for 2027

Bandai Card Games has officially unveiled NARUTO Card Game, a new trading card game (TCG) based on Masashi Kishimoto’s popular franchise. Designed as a strategy-focused TCG aimed at competitive players, the game is scheduled for a worldwide release in 2027. This is one of the projects TV Tokyo teased for the franchise’s 25th anniversary.

The announcement was shared along with a key visual featuring Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, a teaser trailer, a commemorative illustration from Kishimoto, and the first details about how fans will be able to try the game later this year.

According to Bandai, the game’s first public appearance will take place at Gen Con 2026 in Indianapolis from July 30 to August 2. Attendees will be able to participate in the first-ever NARUTO Card Game tutorial sessions at the event, where there will be beginner-friendly demonstrations to allow players to learn the game’s mechanics using demo decks ahead of its official release.

Participants in the tutorial sessions will receive a special gift set that includes a CP-001 Chakra Card – Gen Con 2026 Ver. promotional card, an exclusive backpack, a sticker, and a purchase ticket for a limited “Arriving in 2027” playmat. Additional backpacks and stickers will also be distributed at the booth while supplies last.

Bandai confirmed that the tutorial session registration should open on June 21 through the official Gen Con website, with more hands-on events planned globally after the convention debut.

The company also revealed that additional details, including card designs, gameplay systems, and the game’s broader roadmap, will be unveiled on July 29, one day before Gen Con begins.

Series creator Masashi Kishimoto shared a message celebrating the announcement:

“NARUTO CARD GAME! I’m glad to see the world of NARUTO grow larger once again. I truly hope these cards find their way to both your hands and your hearts.”
