Studio TRIGGER has introduced its first CYBERPUNK EDGERUNNERS 2 female main cast member, Taliya Yang, as the fourth character ahead of the anime’s Fall 2026 release. Fans at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival had the chance to see a teaser earlier this week, while the main announcement is set for tomorrow, June 29.
The new anime will be a 10-episode story from the world of Cyberpunk 2077, earlier described as “a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge”. It will be directed by Kai Ikarashi, who directed Episode 6 of the original anime titled “Girl on Fire.” Ichigo Kanno is the character designer, while screenplay will be handled by Masahiko Otsuka. It was also previously confirmed that Netflix will be streaming the new series.
Taliya was revealed in collaboration with @natchuu_off on Instagram. Her description:
“She comes from the corpo towers… but her heart belongs to chrome and violence.”
The official Edgerunners X account teased the character with “From corpo towers to the chrome-forged edge.”
Previously, the anime introduced Weak Kingsley, the revenge-driven netrunner D, and the young cinephile Roman Carax. Check out the updated teaser image below featuring the four characters below.
