The Apothecary Diaries: The Late Consort’s Hidden Treasure movie revealed a key visual, trailer, and December 11 premiere date. The movie is set to release in the middle of Season 3, which will air over two parts in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Crunchyroll recently confirmed that it will stream the sequel TV anime.
The movie will premiere in Japan in December 2026 following the first part of the TV anime, and it will feature an original story by the author Natsu Hyuuga. TOHO animation STUDIO is back to handle the animation production. Mariya Ise is joining the voice cast as Mu Qing (translation tentative), a boy who holds the key to the story.

Natsu Hyuga writes the The Apothecary Diaries light novel, with illustrations by Toko Shino. The series is serialized by Shunfunotomo. The series has 2 manga adaptations, one written by Itsuki Nanao and illustrated by Nekokurage, and one written and illustrated by Minoji Kurata.
J-Novel Club is publishing the novel in English, while Squre Enix is publishing the manga. The story follows Maomao, a young apothecary who ends up getting sold to the emperor’s palace as a lowly servant. She’s not the type of character who can just stay obedient, so she ends up helping Jinshi, the handsome official at the palace.
