Rudy Meets Perugius in Mushoku Tensei Season 3 Episode 8 Preview

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 revealed the Episode 8 preview images and synopsis ahead of its August 16 premiere. The episode is set to begin the Chaos Breaker arc, which recently revealed a trailer. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as part of its Summer 2026 lineup.

Episode 8 is titled “The Flying Fortress,” and you can see the preview images and synopsis below.

To find a way to restore Zenith, Rudeus, through an introduction from Nanahoshi, is granted an audience with Perugius, the “Armored Dragon King,” one of the Three Heroes who slew the Demon God and now resides in the floating fortress Chaos Breaker. After hearing about Zenith, the overwhelmingly imposing Perugius unexpectedly mentions the name of a certain person.

Season 3 began with Volume 14, for which Seven Seas describes the story:
Nanahoshi, Rudeus, and the rest of their group take a trip to Perugius’s mysterious floating fortress, seeking adventure and a once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn new magic. What they find instead is disaster as one of their number is struck down by a deadly illness. How far will Rudeus go to save a dear friend’s life?

The anime is based on a light novel by Rifujin na Magonote with Shirotaka’s illustrations. Seven Seas is publishing the light novel in English.

The series is also launching a game titled Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation – Chronicle of Echoes this year. It is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases developed by ASOBIMO.
