Black Clover creator Yuki Tabata drew an illustration of Toru Oikawa from Haikyu!!, which was revealed during the franchise’s August 19 celebration. It was revealed as a new card for the Haikyu!! Vobaca!! BREAK card game. Several other updates were announced for the franchise, including new material for its art exhibition, the next Gekidan Haikyu!! stage production, and news about the two upcoming anime projects.
The announcements were made during the third Haikyu!! RECEPTION special program, which streamed on the TOHO animation YouTube channel for the annual “Haikyu!! Day” on August 19. Ayumu Murase, who voices Shoyo Hinata, and Kaito Ishikawa, who voices Tobio Kageyama, both appeared on the program. Haikyu!! manga editor Ritsuki Azuma served as the MC.

Haruichi Furudate is the creator of the Haikyu manga (stylized as Haikyu!!), which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020. Production I.G was in charge of animating both the movie and the TV anime. The first season aired in 2014, followed by the second one which started in Fall 2015 and finished in Winter 2016. Season 3 ran for 10 episodes in Fall 2016, covering Karasuno vs Shiratorizawa match. Season 4 was titled Haikyuu!! To the Top, and it ran for 25 episodes over two cours – Winter 2020 and Fall 2020. In addition to the TV anime and recent movie, the franchise also has multiple recap movies, OVAs, side stories, stage plays and games.
