The Japanese voice cast from the Fruits Basket series will be back to reprise their roles. That means Miyuki Sawashiro (Sinon, Kurapika, Celty) will voice Kyoko. On the other hand, Yoshimasa Hosoya (Reiner, Doppo, Tokoyami) will be back as Katsuya.

Funimation previously announced that the Fruits Basket -prelude- prequel episode will get a theatrical release, which will also include an epilogue episode focusing on Tohru and Kyo after the series. In addition, there will be a digest of the anime between the Kyoko x Katsuya part and that, and the movie will release in theaters in Japan on February 18, 2022.

The anime’s final TV season ranked as the best anime of Spring 2021. That was based on votes from 48,250 people throughout the season! Besides that, Kyo was also voted as the best boy of Spring 2021. Tohru placed 2nd on the Best Girl, only behind Vladilena Milize from 86 -Eighty Six-.

The Fruits Basket -prelude- movie is now about 2 and a half months away, and we’ll be seeing Kyo & Tohru again, as well as her parents Kyoko and Katsuya Honda soon!
