The upcoming Kokyu no Karasu anime adaptation revealed the first trailer on April 21. The anime is set to begin airing in October of this year. Bandai Namco Pictures studio is animating the series, under Chizuru Miyawaki (Gintama) direction.
The anime is based on a novel written by Koko Shirakawa and illustrated by Ayuko. The plot follows a concubine who lives in the emperor’s palace. Although she’s a concubine, she’s never been called to the emperor’s chambers. She is a mysterious woman and some claim that she is an old lady, while the others swear she has an appearance of a young girl. But, one thing is certain – she is a skilled magic user, who helps people with everything – from finding lost items to casting curses. One day, the emperor calls for her and their meeting is about to change the course of history…
The main cast was previously revealed and includes:
- Masaki Mizunaka as Ka Koshun
- Saku Mizuno as Ryu Jusetsu
- Taku Yashiro as Eisei
- Marika Kono as Jiujiu
Satomi Oshima (Sataraki Man) is in charge of series composition, while Shinji Takeuchi (Gintama) is doing character designs. Asami Tachibana (Moriarty the Patriot) is composing the music.
