Voice actors Ayana Taketatsu and Yuki Kaji are expecting their first child. The couple announced it on Thursday on their respective Twitter accounts with each posting a handwritten note.
Ayane Taketatsu’s note states that she initially wanted to tell everyone after she gave birth, but since the pregnancy is starting to affect her schedule they decided to do it now. She goes on to say that her physical condition is stable and that she will try to do as much as possible while being careful. Kaji’s statement is similar: he is grateful to everyone for allowing them to adjust their schedules as needed. He adds that he is a little confused by the first-time experience.
Kaji and Taketatsu also thanked their fans for their continuous support and in return, fans and their fellow voice actors congratulated them on their announcement. Voice actress Aoi Yuki tweeted saying “What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!! Lovely, lovely, lovely~! Looking forward to seeing a healthy baby and healthy Ayana!!!“

The couple made their marriage public way back on Ayana’s 30th birthday in 2019. Ayana Taketatsu is known for voicing Nino Nakano from Quintessential Quintuplets, Azusa Nakano from K-On, Kotori Itsuka from Date A Live, and Kei Karuizawa from Classroom of the Elite. Meanwhile, Yuki Kaji is the voice of Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan, Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academia, Melodias from Seven Deadly Sins, and Nishikata from Teasing Master Takagi. Ayana and Yuki also voiced together in High School DxD series as Koneko Tojo and Issei Hyodo. In Guilty Crown, they voiced Tsumugi and Shu Oma respectively.
