Yowamushi Pedal: LIMIT BREAK (Season 5) anime has received a key visual for the second cour of the anime. The fifth season of the popular anime premiered this October and is continuing with a new theme song, “Last Scene” by Novelbright. Saeki YouthK is singing the second ending theme, titled “Action.” The next episode of the anime is set for December 18.

Osamu Nabeshima is returning to direct the latest sequel, having previously directed all four seasons of the TV anime, as well as the movies Yowamushi Pedal Re:RIDE, Yowamushi Pedal Re: ROAD, Yowamushi Pedal: Spare Bike and Yowamushi Pedal: Re:GENERATION. The cast is also returning.
Wataru Watanabe writes and draws the Yowamushi Pedal sports manga, which won the Best Shonen Manga award at 39th Kodansha Manga Awards along with The Seven Deadly Sins by Nakaba Suzuki. It began serialization in 2008 and has 78 compilation volumes as of June 2022. The first season TV anime season premiered in 2013 and has a total of 38 episodes. It was produced by TMS Entertainment, who also produced the second season and co-produced the third and fourth with 8PAN. Crunchyroll streams the anime, and they describe the story:
Onoda Sakamichi is a rather timid, anime-loving first-year student at Sohoku High School. Upon entering high school, he tried to join the anime research club, but after meeting Imaizumi Shunsuke, a renowned cyclist since middle school, and Naruko Shoukichi, who swept the Kansai cycling championship, he ended up joining the competitive cycling club.
