Tite Kubo, the author of BLEACH manga, drew illustrations for the original Gotei 13 members. The illustrations were published in the new issue of Weekly Shonen Jump (#52/2022) and two of them were posted on Twitter. The names of the characters will also be revealed in the issue, which is coming out on Monday, November 28 in Japan.
In addition to the new illustrations, Tite’s official Twitter (known as Klub Outside fan club) is planning the release further information about the original 13 Division Imperial Guards (also known as 13 Court Guard Squads in the English dub). To commemorate this, they posted an illustration of Saito Furofushi:
The original Gotei 13 were also featured in the special ending of the seventh episode of the currently airing BLEACH: Thousand Year Blood War Arc. Tite Kubo supervised the episode. Pierrot returned to animate the series, after also producing the original TV anime adaptation of the BLEACH manga, which aired between October 2004 and March 2012 and had a total of 366 episodes. The anime is known for a large number of filler episodes. The manga was serialized from 2002 to 2016 in the Weekly Shonen Jump. VIZ Media licensed it in English.
