The ‘Tis Time For “Torture,” Princess manga is getting an anime adaptation that will premiere in January 2024. Studio Pine Jam is animating the series. A visual and trailer have been released as part of the announcement.
Yoko Kanamori is directing the series, with Kazuyuki Fudeyazu on the series composition. Meanwhile, Satoshi Furuhashi and Toshiya Kono are doing the character designs while Masaru Yokoyama is composing the music. The main cast includes Chikahiro Kobayashi as Ex, Haruka Shiraishi as Hime, and Shizuka Ito as Torture Tortura.
‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess is a manga written by Robinson Haruhara and illustrated by Hirakei. It has been serialized on the Shonen Jump+ manga website since April 2019 and it currently has eleven volumes out. Manga Plus is publishing the said manga in English.
The manga revolves around the story of an enduring conflict between the Imperial Army and the Hellhorde. One day, the army’s princess Hime finds herself being taken captive alongside her sacred weapon, Ex. Bound by the regulations of the prisoner-of-war treaty, which forbids conventional forms of torture, the cunning grand inquisitor, Torture Tortura, resorts to employing unconventional “torture” methods, cleverly disguised as delectable Japanese delicacies and snacks. Despite succumbing to these enticements, the princess keeps sharing unrelated statements with the torturer. The Hell-Lord fails to get something valuable from the princess…
