Black Clover released Episode 168 this Wednesday, and it continues to get more interesting as it nears the ‘ending’ on March 30. The episode started off with Asta recovering and doctor Owen wondering about his right hand. Grey also seems to have some serious hidden potential, as her real power seems to be something way more than transformation. After that being mentioned, we saw Asta waking up and immediately heading to save his captain after remembering what had happened. There, however, he was stopped by a mysterious man, who turns out to be none other than the Black Bulls’ Vice Captain, Nacht.
He shows that he’s also a Devil possessed, and reminds Asta of his weakness after trash talking Yami a bit. Despite being harshly honest with him, he says he likes him and asks him to rest before tomorrow. The reason, of course, is that he plans to visit the Captains’ emergency meeting. He comes inside with Asta and sits all the captains back with his devils. Asta notes that he has 4, and Julius confirms his Black Bulls position to calm everyone down. It was nice seeing how most of the captains wanted to save Yami for one reason or another, though Nacht probably gave them the most feasible way.
He was a spy in the Spade Kingdom for years, and he told them way more than they could imagine. Such as that there are devils way stronger than the Dark Triad. He also said Asta will be the key to success with his anti-magic. After pointing out that there’s a limited number of people who can come, Yuno asked to join. Showing Vangeance’s epic moment through a flashback, he made a point that he has to save his captain himself after everything that happened. Nacht approves of it, and they will be heading out soon. Meanwhile, the Elves mysteriously showed up and seem to have saved Noelle and the others in Heart Kingdom. Will probably learn more next episode.
The anime started back in February 2015 and will end on March 30, 2021. Following the release of episode 168, it means Black Clover will have 2 more episodes! There will also be an announcement at the end, and we might get some interesting sequel news!
