Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6 officially premiered on Netflix today, with the first 12 episodes. Duffy’s Distant Dreamer is the ending theme for the Stone Ocean anime, a choice that probably didn’t surprise many fans. So far, every season of David Production’s JoJo used a popular song from the era the series takes place in. For example, Roundabout by Yes was the ending song for the first part, while The Bangles‘ Walk Like an Egyptian was featured in the first half of Stardust Crusaders.
Distant Dreamer came out in 2008, as a part of Duffy’s debut album Rockferry. The Stone Ocean ending theme is available to stream:
The opening theme song for the Part 6 of JoJo anime is Stone Ocean by ichigo from Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets. The anime is currently a Netflix exclusive but will air in Japan starting on January 7, 2021. Netflix is also streaming the previous seasons of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, along with Thus Spoke Kishibane Rohan.
Netflix describes the plot of the first episode as:
Florida, 2011. Framed for a DUI and imprisoned, young Jolyne gains a mysterious new power after receiving a bizarre item from her estranged father.
