Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Reveals Episode 15 Preview

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End revealed the preview for episode 15 titled “Smells Like Trouble,” on Tuesday. Crunchyroll, Bilibili Global, Muse Asia, and Netflix are streaming the episode which is slated to premiere on Friday, December 15. The story of the 15th episode is as follows:
Frieren and her party arrived at a village in the Laub Hills, but the villagers were put to sleep by a “curse” of some sort. According to Frieren, the priests are protected by the goddess, and the “curse” does not affect them. Sein who has knowledge and resistance to “curses,” finds out the type and source of the curse, and the four go to exterminate the cause.

Keiichiro Saito (Bocchi the Rock!) is directing the series at studio Madhouse (A Place Further Than The Universe) with Tomohiro Suzuki (One Punch Man) as the scriptwriter, Evan Call (Violet Evergarden) as the music composer, and Reiko Nagasawa (takt op. Destiny) as the character designer. The cast includes Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya Forger from Spy x Family)as the titular character Frieren, Kana Ichinose (Suletta Mercury from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury) as Fern, Chiaki Kobayashi (Gabimaru from Hell’s Paradise) as Stark, and Yuichi Nakamura (Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen). YOASOBI performs the opening theme song “Yuusha” and milet sings the ending theme song titled “Anytime Anywhere.”

Crunchyroll describes the plot as follows:
After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out.
