A new episode (Episode 17) of the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End mini anime series has been released, this time featuring the Hero’s Party. Titled “The Magic That Seals Special Moves” Episode 17 shows Frieren, Himmel, Eisen and Heiter on a silly adventure. The short is available on the series’ official YouTube channel.
The mini anime is part of the ongoing Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End – Magic of ●● project, which shows original short stories focused on specific types of magic. The characters are shown in chibi-style designs created by illustrator Mebachi. Some of the previous episodes featured Land & Übel, as well as the trio of Denken, Lawine and Richter. The latest one featured Frieren alongside Fern and Stark facing a hot summer day.

The first season of the anime was animated by MADHOUSE and ran for 28 episodes from September 29, 2024. It was directed by Keiichiro Saito, with series composition by Tomohiro Suzuki. Reiko Nagasawa was the character designer, with the chief animation direction led by Yuri Fujinaka, Reiko Nagasawa, and Maru Takase. Evan Call composed the music. Season 2 is set to return in January, with the first teaser trailer recently revealed.
