The creator of My Hero Academia, Kohei Horikoshi, drew a special illustration of Eri and Shota Aizawa to commemorate the release of Volume 41 in Japan. The illustration sees Eri wielding a sword larger than herself, with a dog/wolf with Aizawa’s Capturing Weapon and hair as her guardian. You can see the full illustration below.
The text in the image says:
My Hero Academia Volume 41 Now On Sale
Aizawan (pun on his name as ‘wan’ is the Japanese equivalent of ‘woof.’)
Kohei Horikoshi wrote and illustrated the My Hero Academia from July 2014 to August 2024. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and ended last week, getting commemorative illustrations and messages from animators and fellow authors, along with the launch of the global character poll.
The manga received its first anime adaptation by studio BONES in 2016. It received 6 more seasons in the following years, with the 7th season currently ongoing. Episode 13 was delayed to August 17 due to the Olympics. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English, while Crunchyroll is streaming the anime.
