My Hero Academia: You’re Next movie has announced a Blu-ray and DVD release in Japan for February 19, 2025. Studio BONES also improved several scenes for the release, which will offer a deluxe two-disc Plus Ultra Edition and a standard edition featuring only the main disc. The deluxe edition will include exclusive bonuses, such as a 44-page booklet with new interviews and concept art, illustrations by Kohei Horikoshi, a special postcard, and more.
The movie premiered in Japan on August 2, and its box office has exceeded 23.8 billion yen ($164 million) as of August 18. It had the biggest opening for the franchise. It premiered in North America and Worldwide this month, while it’s hitting theaters in the Philippines next month.

Kohei Horikoshi drew the manga for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 until August of this year. The series ended after a 10-year run, getting numerous illustrations and messages for the conclusion.
The manga received its first anime adaptation by studio BONES in 2016. It received 6 more seasons in the following years, with Season 7 concluding on October 12, 2024. You can read our review of the finale, as well as one of the entire season.
My Hero Academia Season 8 was officially announced immediately after the last episode, and it was confirmed to be the final one. The story left off right as the fights between All For One/One For All and Deku/Shigaraki got to their climaxes, and fans are looking forward to the continuation coming in 2025.
