The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom was announced at the latest Nintendo Direct, and it’s a new game starring Zelda as the protagonist. In Link-less Hyrule, it’s up to the princess to save the kingdom. The game will launch for the Nintendo Switch on Septe,mber 26.
They describe the game:
The people of Hyrule are being stolen away by strange rifts that have appeared, with a certain swordsman among the missing. Team up with the mysterious fairy, Tri, and use the power of the Tri Rod to create echoes – imitations of things found in the environment. Then recreate those echoes whenever you like to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Use echoes of water blocks to reach new heights, make bridges out of old beds, throw rocks at foes – or find your own creative combination of echoes to do things your way. You can even create echoes of monsters to fight at your side in combat. Join Zelda in her quest to rescue Hyrule when The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom launches for Nintendo Switch on Sept. 26.
In addition, a gold-colored Nintendo Switch Lite Hyrule Edition system adorned with the Hylian Crest and inspired by the The Legend of Zelda series arrives will also release on September 26. They also have an upcoming LEGO set based on Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild releasing on September 1, 2024.
The Legend of Zelda is a video game franchise created by Japanese game designers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. Most of the games for the franchise were developed and published by Nintendo, with some installments and re-releases being outsourced.
It broke new ground with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which released in 2017 for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. It introduced open world gameplay to the Legend of Zelda universe and received huge recognition and praise. Breath of the Wild is also the top selling game in the series and one of the best-selling video games of all time, having sold over 28 million copies by 2022. Its sequel, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, sold 10 million units in three days and set a new record for the franchise.
There is also a live-action movie in development.
