ONE PIECE and Japan’s national football team, SAMURAI BLUE, have revealed a special collaboration video ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The video, titled “To Our Highest Peak” (Oretachi no Saiko Chiten e), premiered on June 1 on the official ONE PIECE YouTube channel and JFA TV. The collaboration is based on the shared pursuit of ambitious dreams, drawing the parallel between Monkey D. Luffy’s journey to become King of the Pirates and Japan’s goal of reaching the summit of world football this year.
It features images of the football team and manga panels from the series. Check it out below.
The collaboration was first teased on May 29, when the official ONE PIECE account announced that a special blue Straw Hat had been presented to SAMURAI BLUE.
The full message reads:
“When you pursue a dream with all your heart, companions gather around you.”
“People laugh when you talk about your dreams. Especially if your goal is to become the best in the world. But that’s okay.
People who aim to be number one attract companions who aim for the same thing. You’ll find friends who won’t mock your dreams and will support them.
That’s why ONE PIECE doesn’t laugh at the dream of Japan’s national football team. Because we truly believe in the day Japan becomes the king of the world.

Japan secured qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup earlier this year and will enter the tournament as one of Asia’s leading contenders. The competition will be held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico beginning in June 2026.
The ONE PIECE manga by Eiichiro Oda first began in July 1997, and the series exceeded 500 million circulating copies worldwide in August 2022. It also celebrated the 25th anniversary in 2022, while the anime adaptation started in October 1999 and is also still going strong. The anime is currently in the highly anticipated Elbaph Arc, where Loki and the Knights of God are introduced.
