Spy x Family manga author, Tatsuya Endo posted an illustration of Anya Forger to celebrate the digital release of “Shikisai,” yama’s new song, which is the ending theme song for the anime’s second cour. The illustration was a quote-tweet of the singer’s post, which announced the song’s October 2 release.
The newly drawn picture shows Anya wearing a white hoodie, with yama’s mask on her face. The series’ little esper says: “That stuff yama-san is singing came out” and, with a smaller text of appreciation at the bottom left corner, in her clumsy way: “Sank you for the Anya illustration!“
The Anya illustration refers to the singer’s illustration posted on her Twitter page right after the second cour’s first episode aired. The picture came with a handwritten comment: “Spy x Family – I have the pleasure of performing the ending theme song of the second cour! I’d be grateful if you could enjoy the song ‘Shikisai” together with the anime. yama“
Quote-tweeting the author’s illustration post, yama expressed her happiness: “Whoaaa, Anya is wearing the mask……! I’m so happy…(tears).”
