World's End Harem Episode 3 - Third Male Survivor

No. 3 finally awakens in episode 3 of World’s End Harem anime. Like Reito and Kyoji, he was also diagnosed with Cellular Sclerosis and was put to cold sleep five years ago. Since Reito is a failure when it comes to mating, the United Women decided to wake him up.

Shouta Doi, also known as “No. 3,” is currently a third-year high school student. There were no problems in making Shouta mate as his first partner was someone he’s admired for a long time. That said, United Women only woke him up in order to bring new lives into the world. The question is why are the United Women the ones deciding when will a certain person awaken? If Shouta was already cured, why did they let him out of cold sleep this late? Are they plotting something?

Five years ago, Shouta was bullied and didn’t have any friends. The only person who ever talked to him was his teacher, Yuzuki Hanyu. Shouta is a kind-hearted person, so he wondered why he is the one who has to suffer due to Cellular Sclerosis? He didn’t even know if he will wake up in the future. He was able to see a live-mating in front of his eyes but he doesn’t know if he will be able to experience it in the future because of his situation. Of course, it was really frustrating for him, especially if he was a bit jealous of their lives.

The group of Shouta’s bullies consists of one girl and some boys. Thus, it is safe to assume that when he woke up, the only one bully alive would be the girl. Episode 3 of World’s End Harem didn’t give any specific details about her but maybe we’ll see her in the future? For now, Shouta is trying to continue his delayed school life, surrounded by his new classmates and teachers. Obviously, he is the only boy in his class. Thankfully, he isn’t bullied there because of the fact he’s a “precious male”.

Like Reito and Kyoji, Shouta must be able to form his own “harem”. In this episode, we were able to see some of the characters who potentially might join it in the future. The time is near future-Tokyo, Japan in 2040. Reito, a young man suffering from an intractable disease, vows to reunite with his childhood friend Erisa and decides to “cold sleep” to cure his illness. When he wakes up five years later, the world was undergoing a major transformation. The MK (Male Killer) virus kills 99.9% of men on the planet. The ground was a super harem with 5 billion women for every 5 men. Only five men, “Numbers,” are resistant to the MK virus. One of them, Reito, is required to “mate” for the survival of the remaining women and humankind. Harem life waiting for the world after the pandemic. At the same time, Reito is involved in a global conspiracy over Numbers. Can he overcome the temptation and save the world?
