The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows anime revealed the main trailer, as well as an April 3 premiere date and three new cast members. Studio Macaria is animating, with Jo Yoshizaki as the director.
The new trailer features the opening theme song “Lightmaker” by bokula. You can watch it below.
The anime previously revealed a new visual, teaser and cast at the GA Fes 2025 event, with several members of the voice cast attending. The known members of the voice cast include:
- Shogo Sakata as Zenos
- Yoko Hikasa as Carmilla
- Miharu Hanai as Lily
- Sayaka Kikuchi as Loewe
- Mashiro Hitaka as Lynga
- Anna Nagase as Zophia
- Yuki Nakashima as Krishna (NEW)
- Taku Yashiro as Zonde (NEW)
- Masaaki Mizunaka as Aston (NEW)
The latest visual features all the above characters.
Including the director Jo Yoshizaki, the The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows anime staff consists of:

Sakaku Hishikawa writes the The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows (Isshun de Chiryou shiteita no ni Yakudatazu to Tsuihousareta Tensai Chiyushi, Yami Healer to shite Tanoshiku Ikiru) light novel series, which features illustrations by Daburyu. It first began on the Shosetsuka ni Naro in November 2020, while it was later acquired and published in print by SB Creative in October 2021. There is also a manga adaptation by Ten Junoichi, while a webtoon adaptation was announced together with the anime back in March 2024.
J-Novel Club licensed the novel and manga in English. The story follows a self-taught genius healer who is abused by his party and ends up getting kicked after already being treated like garbage. He opens an underground clinic and word of a genius ‘dark healer’ quickly spread.
