Farewell, My Dear Cramer TV Anime Kicks Off This April

From the author of ‘Your Lie in April’, Naoshi Arakawa, another anime is about to premiere. Titled ‘Farewell, My Dear Cramer’, the soccer manga will get both a TV anime and film this April. The film will actually be based on the prequel manga titled ‘Sayonara, Football’, while the anime will cover the original. It releases on April 4, and there is a 15-second CM featuring the opening song.

Aika Kobayashi performs the opening, and its title is “AMBITIOUS GOAL”. Mikako Komatsu will perform the ending song titled “Kuyashii Koto wa Kettobase”. Both the TV anime and film will be handled by studio Liden Films [LIDENFILMS].

The synopsis for the story by Kodansha:

With no soccer accomplishments to speak of during the entirety of Sumire Suo’s junior high school years, the young wing gets an odd offer. Suo’s main rival, Midori Soshizaki, invites her to join up on the same team in high school, with a promise that she’ll never let Suo “play alone.” It’s an earnest offer, but the question is whether Suo will take her up on it. Thus the curtain opens on a story that collects an enormous cast of individual soccer-playing personalities!

We all know what happened in ‘Your Lie in April’, so I wonder if this will also be similar. Its first word is kind of saddening already, but we can either read the ‘Farewell, My Dear Cramer’ manga to see or wait for April and the anime.
