The Guardian reports that the highly anticipated second and third Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle films will debut in 2027 and 2029, respectively. This followed comments reported by The Guardian from Crunchyroll’s Mitchel Berger, where he remarked on the film’s smash-hit success. The film grossed $70.6 million in its U.S. opening weekend and $780 million worldwide to date. UPDATE: Crunchyroll has confirmed that while it did have an interview with The Guardian, it did not disclose these release windows and that anything to the contrary is speculative.

2027 and 2029 release windows for Infinity Castle Part 2 and 3 would be near-ideal scenarios for many fans. Crunchyroll is yet to confirm this through official channels; it’s worth noting that in September, CEO Rahul Purini said that while they feel the urgency to release the films ASAP, “our partners at Aniplex and Ufotable haven’t decided on dates yet.” We’ve reached out to Crunchyroll, and they’re aware of our query, so we’ll update this article once our questions have been answered.

Haruo Sotozaki directed Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle‘s first movie at ufotable. An excerpt from the official Infinity Castle synopsis reads:
As the Demon Slayer Corps members and Hashira engaged in a group strength training program, the Hashira Training, in preparation for the forthcoming battle against the demons, Muzan Kibutsuji appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. With the head of the Demon Corps in danger, Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to the headquarters but are plunged into a deep descent to a mysterious space by the hands of Muzan Kibutsuji.

The destination of where Tanjiro and Demon Slayer Corps have fallen is the demons’ stronghold – the Infinity Castle.

And so, the battleground is set as the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the Demons ignites.
