The spin-off sequel manga Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo (Jujutsu Kaisen ≡) revealed new art ahead of its Volume 3 release, featuring Yuji, Mahito, Dabura, Mahoraga, and more. Volume 3 will be the final volume for the manga, and it’s set to release in Japan on May 1. It was written by Gege Akutami and illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki.

The final volume was also teased to feature ‘that character’ who didn’t appear as bonus material. You can see the special illustrations below.

The first one was drawn by Yuji Iwasaki and features Maru and Tsurugi. It was drawn as countdown for 3 days left.

The second one was also drawn by Iwasaki, and features Dabura and Mahoraga. Drawn for 2 days left.

The third and final one was drawn by both Gege Akutami and Yuji Iwasaki. Akutami was in charge of the left side, which features Yuji and Mahito from the original JUJUTSU KAISEN manga. The right side was drawn by Iwasaki, featuring the characters in their Modulo appearances. Drawn for teasing only 1 day is left until release.

The series is set 68 years after the Culling Game arc from the original Jujutsu Kaisen story and follows a near-future world where extraterrestrial beings known as the Simuria suddenly appear on Earth. The story follows Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, with the official synopsis described:
It’s been 68 years since the Culling Game. In 2086, an alien race known as the Simurians arrive on Earth in a spaceship. The fate of the world lies in the hands of two jujutsu sorcerers Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu. Jujutsu sorcerers and aliens, what chaos will be born from this meeting?

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo began as a short-term serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 41, released on September 8, 2025. The second volume was published on March 4, with the third and final volume scheduled to release on May 1.

To commemorate the conclusion, the final chapter appeared with a center color spread in the magazine.

Gege Akutami’s JUJUTSU KAISEN manga officially ended on September 30, 2024. It was serialized for 6-and-a-half-years since March 2018, with the story getting concluded in 30 volumes.
