Bandai has revealed two major additions coming to the upcoming ONE PIECE Card Game booster pack World’s Strongest Warriors, including a special collaboration with Baki creator Keisuke Itagaki and the long-awaited debut of Rocks D. Xebec.
The new card featuring Kaido, titled “The Strongest Creature,” is illustrated by Itagaki. The acclaimed manga artist, best known for Baki the Grappler, created the artwork exclusively for the upcoming set, giving the Emperor of the Sea an illustration using his signature art.
The World’s Strongest Warriors booster will also introduce Rocks D. Xebec to the ONE PIECE Card Game for the first time. Alongside his debut, Bandai revealed a new “Pirates Super Parallel” rarity, with the first cards featuring Monkey D. Luffy and Rocks.
This isn’t the first collaboration between ONE PIECE Card Game and popular manga creators. Previously, JUJUTSU KAISEN creator Gege Akutami drew the Five Elders. World’s Strongest Warriors launches in Japan on August 22.
The ONE PIECE manga by Eiichiro Oda first began in July 1997, and the series exceeded 500 million circulating copies worldwide in August 2022. It also celebrated the 25th anniversary in 2022, while the anime adaptation started in October 1999 and is also still going strong. As Elbaph Arc got closer, hype was built with new cast additions. It culminated in Yuichi Nakamura getting cast as Loki.
The anime also be debuted new theme songs for the ongoing arc. The opening song’s title is “Luminous,” and it’s performed by AiNA THE END. The ending song is “That Future” by Jisoku 36km.
