TOHO animation has revealed its latest anime project to be an adaptation of Kamome Maruyono’s Dokagui Daisuki Mochizuki-san (stylized as Dokagui Daisuki! Mochizuki-san) comedy gourmet manga series.
The project was teased yesterday with the words “food terror is coming,” likely referring to the 1-hour video of real life cooking that was released leading up to the announcement.

Dokagui Daisuki! Mochizuki-san is a Japanese seinen manga created by Kamome Maruyono. The story follows Mikoto Mochizuki, a woman with intense enthusiasm for eating enormous quantities of food. The manga first began in Hakusensha’s Young Animal Zero magazine and on the Young Animal Web platform in May 2024, later getting collected tankobon editions.
The series quickly attracted attention for its unusual premise and exaggerated depiction of binge eating. It has appeared in several manga rankings and award programs, including the Next Manga Awards, Manga Taisho, the EbookJapan Manga Awards, and Kono Manga ga Sugoi!.
